We work with a limited number of couples each season so that every wedding receives full creative attention. Seasonal, sustainable, and entirely personal.
We accept a maximum of 40 weddings per year. Book at least 9 months in advance for peak dates.

The Florist
Flora & Thread was founded by Eleanor Hayes in 2012. Eleanor trained in London and Amsterdam and spent three years working at a wholesale market before opening her own studio in Margate.
We source from British growers wherever possible and use certified sustainable importers for what cannot be grown here. We do not use floral foam. All our arrangements are fully compostable.

Yes — orders placed before 1 PM are delivered the same day within a 10-mile radius of our studio in Margate. Evening delivery slots are also available for an additional fee.
For shop orders, you can specify a colour palette and any flowers you love or dislike. We design the arrangement using the best available seasonal blooms within your preferences.
We recommend 9–12 months for peak season dates (May–September). We limit weddings to 40 per year to ensure each receives proper attention. We sometimes have last-minute availability — ask.
Yes. We deliver to residential addresses, venues, offices, hospitals, and hotels within our delivery zone. For corporate accounts with regular deliveries, ask about our account pricing.
Our monthly flower subscription delivers a seasonal arrangement to your door once a month. Subscribers receive 15% off all shop orders and early access to new seasonal collections.
Yes. Over 70% of our flowers are UK-grown. Imported flowers come from certified Fairtrade or Rainforest Alliance growers. We never use floral foam — all mechanics are compostable.
