What Families Say

Changing Lives Through Music

My daughter was terrified to perform in front of anyone. After two years with Elena at Crescendo, she performed at Carnegie Hall's student showcase and brought the entire audience to tears. Genuinely life-changing.
Rachel M.
Rachel M. Parent of an advanced piano student
I always wanted to play guitar but thought I was too old to start. At 52 I began lessons with Marcus. Fourteen months later I played at the Winter Concert. The teachers here believe in every student unconditionally.
David K.
David K. Adult beginner guitar student
Three kids, three different instruments, three different teachers — and every single one has been exceptional. The flexibility, the warmth, and the results speak for themselves. Crescendo is genuinely special.

Common Questions

Our Early Childhood Music program starts at age 3 with group classes. Private lessons are available from age 4 for piano and violin, and from age 6 for guitar. There is no upper age limit — we have many adult beginners who start in their 50s and 60s.

Yes — regular daily practice is essential for progress. For piano students a keyboard with 61+ weighted keys is a good start. We are happy to provide instrument recommendations for every budget.

Most students are playing simple songs within the first 2–3 lessons. Visible, meaningful progress happens within 3–6 months of consistent weekly practice. The key is regular daily practice between lessons.

Yes — we offer a free trial lesson for all new students. There is no obligation and no payment required. It is the best way to meet your teacher and make sure it is the right fit.

For most instruments and students, online lessons are highly effective. We use high-quality video tools optimized for music instruction. Some students prefer the convenience of online lessons and make excellent progress.

We ask for 24 hours notice to reschedule. We offer one make-up lesson per month per student at no extra charge.
