Patient Stories

“After two years of chronic lower back pain and seeing three different practitioners with no result, I found MotionCare. James identified a movement pattern issue in my first session that others had completely missed. Six weeks later I am pain-free and back running.”

“Liam got me back to competitive rugby in 10 weeks after a grade 2 ACL partial tear. His return-to-sport protocol was thorough, measured, and I actually feel stronger than I was before the injury. The gold standard in sports physio.”

FAQ

Common Questions

No. You can book directly without a GP referral. If you are using ACC or private health insurance, we handle all the paperwork on your behalf.

Most acute injuries respond well in 3–6 sessions. Chronic conditions or post-surgical rehabilitation may require 8–12 sessions. Your physiotherapist will give you a clear estimate at your initial assessment.

Most private health insurance policies include physiotherapy cover. We are registered with all major health funds and can process your claims in-clinic electronically.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows access to the affected area. For lower limb treatment, shorts are ideal. For shoulder or back conditions, a vest or tank top is helpful.

Yes. We offer video consultations for exercise program reviews, movement assessments, and ongoing rehabilitation management. Telehealth is available seven days a week.

Physiotherapists are trained in both manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation, focusing on long-term function and movement. Physiotherapy typically involves a more active, progressive approach to recovery.
