How you care for a fresh tattoo directly affects how it heals and how it looks for the rest of your life. Follow these steps and contact us with any concerns.
Keep the wrap or bandage applied by your artist in place. Do not remove it early. Avoid touching the tattooed area.
Wash gently with unscented antibacterial soap twice daily. Pat dry — do not rub. Apply a thin layer of unscented moisturizer.
Avoid sun exposure, swimming, soaking in baths, and heavy exercise. Keep the area moisturized and let any peeling happen naturally.
Apply SPF 50+ whenever the tattoo is exposed to sunlight. This is the single most important factor in color longevity.
